With a long-standing legacy, Post 143 has continually strived to uplift those who served.
A Rich Legacy of Service
Established as the Steven H. Nipp American Legion Post 143, we proudly stand as Idaho’s largest American Legion post, with over 700 active members supporting veterans, military families, and their communities. For more than a century, in line with the national American Legion’s mission set in 1919, we have embodied “service, not self” in everything we do pfp143.org.
Our roots run deep in Post Falls. In 2010, Post 143 played a key role in the creation of the stunning 8×19‑foot veterans’ memorial at the City Hall, honoring 23 local service members across eras—from mid-1800s pre-settlement warriors to Vietnam and beyond. This timeline stands as a lasting tribute to generations of sacrifice and valor.
